Rules & Regulations
This a new format and show - as such the three overriding principles are:
1. Enter into the spirit of the competition as intended;
2. We are friendly and encouraging, so please contact us if anything is not clear; and
3. The decision of British Showing as the show organiser is final!
ENTRIES
Entries can only be submitted online at www.britishshowing.com from 00:01 on the first day of the month to 23:59 on the last day of the month (GMT) for that month's show. Any entries received after this time will be automatically entered into the next month's show.
By entering online, you accept the Terms & Conditions of the show, as outlined on this website.
Please submit one entry per class for each combination. The same combination may enter more than one class (if applicable) at each show.
For all the classes, there will be a detailed class description on the website for each class. If you are not sure which class you are most suited to, or eligible to enter, please email support@britishshowing.com and we will help you to decide.
For each class you enter, you have the opportunity to upload your video/photo(s) or a link to your video/photo(s) as you are making your entry using the online entry form upload box; alternatively you can send it to British Showing via Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger or email to support@britishshowing.com. Please make sure you include the class number you have entered and the Horse/Pony name so we can match it up to your entry.
You cannot re-use the same video/photo(s) for another month's show, but you can enter different classes within the same month with the same video/photo(s) if they are appropriate for those classes.
When you are entering online, please enter all the required information and as well as selecting the class to enter, please also select the league section you wish to enter.
When choosing which level to enter, this will not be policed and we hope all competitors will enter into the spirit of the competition. If the judge for that show/class feel you have entered into the wrong section (ie you have entered as a Grassroots/Local Level competitor but would be more suited in the County/National Level section) then it is at the discretion of the judge to recommend to the organiser that the entry should be moved to the alternate section. If the show organiser agrees, then you will be notified of the change and the show organiser’s decision is final.
By submitting your entry, you are agreeing that you have permission to use or share the video/photo(s) and that they are copyright-free. We may wish to publish any winning entry on the website or use your entry for marketing purposes – if you do not wish for your video/photos to be used in this way for any reason then please email support@britishshowing.com.
Entries are not valid until payment has been received and the relevant video/photo(s) have been submitted.
JUDGING CRITERIA
For each class, the judge will assess all the entrants against the class description. The judges decision will be final.
Video Classes will be judged on one video.
Photo Classes will be judged on up to three photo(s).
FEEDBACK
Feedback for the video classes from the judges will be emailed to all entrants along with any placings. This feedback shall be constructive and helpful to competitors, with the aim of helping them understand their placing in the class and any areas the judge feels could be improved to help them get a better placing next time.
Please take this in the spirit with which it is intended and be honest with yourself about any feedback give to you by the judge, which will always aim to be constructive and fair. It is being given with the best of intentions and is something many competitors from all levels keep asking for, so hopefully this new format will provide the answer(s) for many of you!
The judge will not be liable for any comments shared and the judge's feedback should not be republished in any format. It is intended for your private use and information only.
RESULTS
Results will be announced on www.britishshowing.com and you will also receive an email with your placing(s) (including feedback where applicable) to the email address you supplied when you entered online (and where you should have received your entry confirmation email).
We will endeavour to announce the results within 48 hours of the competition ending. Please check your spam/junk filters for any emails from support@britishshowing.com if you have not received your results.
